Jerez City Council presented the new Jerez Ciudad del Caballo website on Thursday 17 September at the Pescadería Vieja: a permanent portal created to bring together the city's equestrian news and activity in a single place.

The event featured an address by the Mayor of Jerez, and the project was presented by Inmaculada Torrego, of GC Ecuestre, a company with more than 20 years' experience in managing and organising equestrian events, as well as in specialist communication, media and social networks for the sector.

The project builds on the platform created for the last Horse Fair, which brought together programmes, competitions, results, live streams and documents. That initiative achieved more than 637,000 views on social media, 30,000 interactions and more than 10,000 page views on the website, figures that confirmed the demand for centralised, specialist equestrian information.

From that experience comes Jerez Ciudad del Caballo, designed as a platform that is active 365 days a year, with a unified calendar, news, competitions, culture and shows, information on the main equestrian institutions and a directory of professionals and businesses in the sector.

The website aims to be a useful, simple tool that is accessible to everyone, available in Spanish and English, and to become a digital gateway for visitors and professionals: a new meeting point for professionals, enthusiasts and visitors that strengthens the unique bond between Jerez and the horse.

The goal is to establish Jerez Ciudad del Caballo as the digital and news reference for the equestrian world, and to showcase all year round something that is already part of Jerez's identity: its close relationship with the horse.
